Biography:
Colin Firth was born on September 10, 1960 in Grayshott, United Kingdom. He first gained notice as an actor in the late 1980s and went on to receive worldwide stardom for his portrayal of Jane Austen’s romantic hero Mr. Darcy in the 1995 BBC television adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.
Since this, he has starred in numerous films, including The English Patient, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Shakespeare in Love and Love Actually. He has also proved his knack for acting after receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his role in 2009’s A Single Man. He then went on to win the coveted award for his role in 2010’s The King’s Speech. He has recently starred in Kingsman: The Secret Service.
