Biography:
Colin Hanks was born on November 24, 1977 in Sacramento, California, U.S. He is the oldest son of actor Tom Hanks. He attended Chapman University before transferring to Loyola Marymount University where he graduated.
He first gained recognition as an actor for his role as Alexander Charles Whitman in the television series Roswell, which he played from 1999 to 2001. He also played the role of Lieutenant Henry Jones in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.
In 2002, he received further fame for his portrayal of Shaun Brumder in the film Orange County. He has since appeared in other features including 11:14, King Kong, Alone with Her, Untraceable and The House Bunny, among others.
