Biography:
Colin O’Donoghue was born on January 26, 1981 in Drogheda, Republic of Ireland. His career started on the UK television in the early 2000s. His performance in the 2002 TV movie Home for Christmas earned him an Irish Film & Television Award for Best New Talent. After a few years, he earned more constant gigs on such TV shows as Fair City and Proof.
His first notable role was as Conor Elliott in the Irish medical drama series The Clinic. He next played Duke Philip of Bavaria in an episode of The Tudors. In 2011, he was noticed for his portrayal of Michael Kovak in The Rite, starring opposite Anthony Hopkins. He went on to star in the movie Storage 24. He’s also best known for his role as Captain Hook in Once Upon a Time.
