It was in 1994 that Cote de Pablo started her career in the entertainment industry. Her first gig was in the television program Control where she was a co-host. Her next gig didn’t come until many years later in 2000, but this time, she worked as an actress. She made her debut in an episode of the series The $treet. She next made a guest appearance in The Education of Max Bickford. In 2004, she made her first recurring role as Marguerite Cisneros in The Jury, appearing in a total of 10 episodes.
Her major breakthrough came after securing the role of Special Agent Ziva David in NCIS. She joined the main cast of the show in 2005 for its third season. She stayed on the said show until 2013 until season 11. Her first movie appearance was in 2013’s The Last Rites of Ransom Pride. After NCIS, she starred in the film The 33, miniseries The Dovekeepers, as well as in the TV film Prototype.
The 38-year-old actress stays in shape by sticking to an active lifestyle. She works out on a regular basis. She’s also fond of yoga. On why she loves yoga, she said in an interview: “Four or five days a week, I do open flow Vinyasa [breath-synchronized yoga]. I bring a teacher, who happens to be a great friend, to my house. You look at this woman’s body and you go, “Wow, the benefits of yoga!” You can see that there’s a lift everywhere. And it’s completely natural. There’s nothing fake about her body. I love natural beauty.”
She also shared in the interview that she took a break from working out because of an injury. About the whole experience, she said: “I only just went back to exercising because I injured my neck, working on the show. So I was out [of the gym] for about a month.” She went on to say: “But it’s 100% better now. Because of that injury I’m going back to yoga.”
