Courtney Thorne-Smith was born on November 8, 1967 in San Francisco, California, USA. She was in high school when she started performing on the stage with a theater company. Following her graduation, she decided to further pursue acting, thus, making her first movie role in Lucas in 1986, followed by the films Welcome to 18 and Summer School.
Also in 1986, she played the part of Stacey Hamilton on the television series Fast Times, marking her debut on the small screen. She has since played notable roles on the TV shows Day By Day and L.A. Law, though it was her role as Allison Parker in Melrose Place that earned her stardom. Her next mainstream role was as Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal and as Cheryl in According to Jim. In the 2010s, she’s known for playing Lyndsey in Two and a Half Men.
