Cress Williams is an American actor. He began acting in the early 1990s where he debuted as Terrence ‘Scooter’ Williams on the sitcom Living Single. He next starreda as D’Shawn Hardell on Beverly Hills, 90210. In the movies, he had his first role in 1995’s The Doom Generation. He later had roles in the films 2 Days in the Valley, Fallen, and Never Been Kissed. Back on TV, he also played Dudley Adams on Leaving L.A. and Reggie Moore on ER. In the 2000s, Williams became known for his performances on television. He played Inspector Antwon Babcock on Nash Bridges, Ed Williams on Close to Home, Tucker Jones on Grey’s Anatomy and Wyatt Matthewson on Prison Break. In the 2010s, he starred as Ornette Howard on Friday Night Lights and Lavon Hayes on Hart of Dixie. He currently plays the lead on the new series Black Lightning.
