Biography:
Damian Lewis was born on February 11, 1971 in St John’s Wood, London, UK. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After finishing his studies, he began acting on stage. After making his television debut in the mid 1990s, he came to prominence for his portrayal of Richard D. Winters in the critically acclaimed miniseries Band of Brothers.
His performance also earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. From 2011 to 2013, he once again became widely known for his role as Nicholas Brody in another award-winning television show Homeland, winning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2012.
