Biography:
Daniel Brühl was born on June 16, 1978 in Barcelona, Spain. He was primarily raised in Germany. When he was 17, he gained recognition in Germany for his role in the soap opera Forbidden Love. Years later, he starred in the German movie Good Bye, Lenin!, for which his performance was acclaimed. International recognition came when he starred in the Hollywood film Inglourious Basterds.
Since then, the actor has starred in more Hollywood features, including The Bourne Ultimatum, The Fifth Estate and A Most Wanted Man, establishing his international career even further. In 2013, he portrayed Niki Lauda in the movie Rush, for which he was also acclaimed, receiving BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actor. His most recent films are Woman in Gold and Colonia.
