Danielle Cormack was born on 26 December 1970 in Auckland, New Zealand. She started acting in 1987, first playing the role of Tania Veitch in the New Zealand series Gloss. She later became known in her country for starring as Alison Raynor in Shortland Street. Later in 1995, she made her Hollywood debut as Ephiny in the television series Xena: Warrior Princess.
She reprised the role in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. In the movies, she had her first role in 1994’s The Last Tattoo. She went on to star in the Australian film Siam Sunset. In the 2000s, she starred in the New Zealand shows Maddigan’s Quest and Rude Awakenings. In the 2010s, she gained recognition in Australia for starring as Scarlet Meagher in Rake. She recently starred as Karen Koutoufides in Secret City.
