David Dencik is a Swedish-Danish actor. He started his career in Sweden during the 2000s, debuting in the 2003 film Reconstruction. He later appeared in the Swedish miniseries Lasermannen. He next had roles in the Swedish films Daisy Diamond, Not Like Others, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Brotherhood. In 2011, he made his Hollywood debut in the film War Horse. That same year, he portrayed Toby Esterhase in 2011’s Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. He also played Young Morell in the English version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The following year, he played Ove Høegh-Guldberg in A Royal Affair. He recently had performances in the films The Snowman and Waiting for the Barbarians. On television, he played Puss in Top of the Lake: China Girl and Mikhail Gorbachev in Chernobyl.
