David Schwimmer is an American actor. He has since ventured into directing and producing. His acting career started in the late 1980s. During his initial years, he made guest appearances in such shows as The Wonder Years, NYPD Blue, and Monty. His breakout role was as Ross Geller in the sitcom Friends. He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role here. Simultaneously, he played Herbert Sobel in the miniseries Band of Brothers. After Friends ended in 2004, he starred in the drama film Duane Hopwood. He later starred in the films Big Nothing and Nothing But the Truth. In the 2010s, he portrayed Robert Kardashian in American Crime Story, earning him a Primetime Emmy nomination.
