In the 2000s, he had notable performances in the movies The Notebook, John Q, Alpha Dog, and My Sister’s Keeper. He also played Lionel Granger in 10 episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2013, he appeared as himself in his wife’s reality series Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual.
