Debi Mazar was born on August 13, 1964 in Jamaica, Queens, New York City, New York, U.S.. In 1981, she made her professional acting debut in the film Downtown 81. She next appeared on the pilot Graffiti Rock. In 1990, she appeared as Sandy in the movie Goodfellas. She next appeared as Denise in Jungle Fever. From 1991 to 1993, she starred as Denise on the TV series Civil Wars.

She reprised the said role on L.A. Law. She went on to appear in several films afterwards. This includes Batman Forever, Empire Records, and The Insider. From 1998 to 1999, she starred as Liz Tricoli on Working. She next starred as Jackie O’Grady on That’s Life from 2000 to 2002. She then became known for her role as Shauna on the HBO series Entourage. Starting 2015, she stars as Maggie Amato on the TV series Younger.
