Denise Richards was born on February 17, 1971 in Downers Grove, Illinois, USA. After graduating from high school, she moved to Los Angeles to become a model.

In the 1990s, she appeared in lower-budget films and in television programs such as Saved by the Bell and Married with Children.

Her breakthrough was a starring role in the 1997 film Starship Troopers, for which she was nominated for the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favourite Female Newcomer.

In 1999, she landed the role of Christmas Jones in the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough.
