Bollywood actress Dia Mirza had her career beginnings as an extra in the 1999 Tamil film En Swasa Kaatre. Later in 2001, she made her Hindi debut with a starring role in the movie Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein. For this, she won the Bollywood Movie Award for Best Debut Newcomer. She then co-starred in several Hindi films in the following years, including Deewaanapan, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Pran Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye, and Dum, among others.
She went on to gain further recognition for starring in the movies Dus, Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Dus Kahaniyaan, and many others. During this period, she was also featured in some special movie appearances. In the 2010s, Mirza starred in the feature films Hum Tum Aur Ghost, Love Breakups Zindagi, Paanch Adhyay, and Sanju. She recently starred in the 2020 film Thappad. The actress also starred in the Iranian-Indian film Salaam Mumbai. In addition, the actress also ventured into producing with the 2014 film Bobby Jasoos.
Apart from her diet plan, Dia Mirza stays fit and strong following a regular workout routine. Even when she was younger, the actress already lived an active lifestyle. “I used to play a lot of sports as a student — I’d go swimming, horse-riding, play kabaddi. I still love to swim, play basketball and generally keep active,” said the actress.
“My workouts are a mix of stretching, cross-fit and weight training, Pilates, yoga and kickboxing. I work out at least six times a week, no matter where I am. My go-to exercises are yoga, stretches and some freehand exercises like squats, lunges, surya namaskar and dhanur asanas, which keep the body supple and flexible,” she shared. The actress also does 10,000 steps daily as part of her fitness routine, no matter how busy she gets.
