Biography:

Diane Guerrero was born on July 21, 1986 in New Jersey, United States. She was born to Colombian parents. She grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. Being interested in acting, she attended Boston Arts Academy in high school. After graduating from college, she worked at a law office. When she was 24, she decided she wanted to pursue acting professionally.

In 2011, she made her debut in the low-budget film Festival. Her first TV appearance was on Body of Proof. She next appeared in four episodes of Are We There Yet?. She auditioned for a role on Devious Maids, but she landed the role of Maritza Ramos on Orange Is the New Black instead. She’s been with the famous Netflix show since 2013. She also currently stars as Lina Santillan on Jane the Virgin.
