Australian actress Dichen Lachman had her career beginnings in the mid-2000s. She made her television debut as Katya Kinski in the soap opera Neighbours. She later ventured into Hollywood making her first starring role in a US series as Sierra / Priya Tsetsang in Dollhouse. Afterward, she made guest appearances in the shows NCIS: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0.
She then played Suren in the show Being Human, followed by a starring role in the short-lived series Last Resort. In the next few years, she had recurring roles in the shows The 100, King & Maxwell, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Shameless, and The Last Ship. She later played Roulette/Veronica Sinclair in Supergirl. As of 2018, she stars as Reileen Kawahara in the Netflix series Altered Carbon.
The 35-year-old actress stays in shape by sticking to a healthy lifestyle. Aside from eating right, she also works out as much as she could. Looking at her figure, it is apparent that she trains hard in order to maintain her lean physique. Training also helps to toughen up her look. Most of the roles she plays on television are tough characters so she knows she needs to look the part. However, the actress admits she doesn’t always find the motivation to work out. In an interview, she said:
“I find with the gym it’s very hard to motivate. Having someone to work out with, you end up motivating each other, and it’s a great substitute for gym equipment.” So, she tries to look for other alternatives to get her body moving. Most of the time, she relies on the basics. She explained: “There are some simple things I do that just keep me moving: walking up stairs instead of taking the lift, parking further away than usual from your destination, cleaning my own apartment, putting some elbow grease in can break a sweat!”
