Dido is an English singer-songwriter. She came to prominence in 1999 with the release of her debut album No Angel. The album contained the popular songs “Here with Me” and “Thank You”. She also collaborated with Eminem in his song “Stan” with the first verse of “Thank You” included. Her subsequent album, Life for Rent, was also a huge success, spawning the hit singles “White Flag” and “Life for Rent”. In 2008, her third album Safe Trip Home came out. Although it was praised by music critics, it wasn’t as successful as her first two releases. Her song “If I Rise”, which was used in the film 127 Hours was nominated at the Academy Awards for Best Song. After a hiatus from making music, she returned in 2013 with her fourth album Girl Who Got Away.
