Biography:
Donna Murphy was born on March 7, 1959 in Corona, Queens, New York, U.S.. As a child, she received voice lessons. She was also interested in performing that she’d performed on shows she made. In her late life, she attended New York University for its drama course, but didn’t finish it when she got a gig on Broadway. She then performed on various off-Broadway plays.
In 1987, she made her first television appearance on the TV movie Tales from the Holywood Hills: A Table at Ciro’s. Her next role came a few years later as D.A. Morgan Graves on the soap opera Another World. She next appeared as Francesca Cross on the show Murder One. In 1997, she portrayed Abigail Adams on the miniseries Liberty! The American Revolution. From 2000 to 2001, she played Dr. Ruby Stern on What About Joan?. She next starred as Heather Olshansky on Hack. Her latest work was as Jane Green on Mercy Street.
