Biography:

Doutzen Kroes was born on January 23, 1985 in Eastermar, Netherlands. She applied to a modeling agency called Paparazzi Model Management in the Netherlands.

The agency sent her to New York City where she was hired by Victoria’s Secret a few times and asked her to try out as an “angel”. She then graced the covers of such magazines as Time, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen, Elle, Marie Claire and many others.

In 2007, she was named by Forbes magazine one of the World’s 15 Top-Earning Supermodels, where she placed 14th. Four years later, she launched her acting career with her appearance in the Dutch film Nova Zembla.
