Biography:

Drake was born on October 24, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He first gained recognition for his role as Jimmy Brooks in the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation.

He later came to popularity as a rapper, releasing multiple mixtapes such as Room for Improvement and went on to secure a recording deal with Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment in 2009.

That same year, he released his first extended play, So Far Gone, producing the hit single “Best I Ever Had”. In 2010, he released his debut studio album Thank Me Later where it peaked at Number 1 on Billboard 200, spawning the hit singles “Over” and “Find Your Love”.
