Drew Barrymore was born on February 22, 1975 in Culver City, California. She is the daughter of actor John Drew Barrymore and aspiring actress Jaid Barrymore.

At the age of 6, she landed the role of Gertie in Steven Spielberg’s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, which made her one of the most famous child stars of the time.

In 1984, she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Irreconcilable Differences.

Despite a much-publicized and troubled adolescence, she had notable appearances in Poison Ivy, Bad Girls, Batman Forever and Everyone Says I Love You among others.
