Dylan Bruce was born on April 21, 1980 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He completed a degree in drama and economics from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He moved to Los Angeles afterwards. He started his career in the US as a model. He made his television debut in 2 episodes of the soap opera Passions.

His first significant role was as Chris Hughes on the soap opera As the World Turns. He became more well-known in the 2010s, playing the recurring role of Adam Donner on Arrow. Mainstream recognition after landing the role of Paul Dierden on Orphan Black. He now has a recurring character on American Gothic. He will star on the upcoming series Midnight, Texas.
