Biography:

Eleanor Matsuura was born on 16 July 1982 in Tokyo, Japan. She received her training from the Central School of Speech and Drama. Prior to starting a career on the screen, she first performed in theatre. Later in 2005, she had one-time roles in such TV shows as Hustle and Holby City. The following year, she played the role of Ruby in the film Breaking and Entering.

She next appeared in the movie Magicians, as well as guest-starred in Doctor Who, My Family, and Lead Balloon, among others. Later in 2011, she appeared in four episodes of the miniseries The Fades. Matsuura received attention for her role as Hannah Santo in the film Spooks: The Greater Good. At the same time, she played Madame Singh in Star Wars: Battlefront. She currently stars as Yumiko in The Walking Dead.
