Award-winning actress Elisabeth Moss debuted in the early 1990s, first appearing in the TV film Bar Girls. She later played Cynthia Parks in the television drama Picket Fences. In the cinema, Moss first appeared in the 1991 film Suburban Commando. She next appeared in the films Imaginary Crimes, The Last Supper, A Thousand Acres, The Joyriders, and Mumford. She went on to play Polly ‘Torch’ Clark in Girl, Interrupted. Back on television, she gained notice for her role as Zoey Bartlet in The West Wing.
She next played Christina in the TV show Invasion. She came to wider prominence after getting cast as Peggy Olson in Mad Men. Starring on the show from 2007 to 2015, her performance here earned her Primetime Emmy nominations. She next starred as Robin Griffin in the TV drama Top of the Lake, which won her the Best Actress Award at the Golden Globes. As of 2017, she stars as June Osborne / Offred in the Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale.
For her performance, she won the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Moss was nominated again the following year. She has also starred in the films Get Him to the Greek, Listen Up Philip, Meadowland, and Chuck, among others. More recently, Moss had starring roles in the movies The Seagull, Her Smell, and Us. She will portray Shirley Jackson in the upcoming film Shirley.
