Biography:

Elizabeth Banks was born on February 10, 1974 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA. She attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated magna cum laude with a major in communications and a concentration in theatre arts.

She made her acting debut in the independent film Surrender Dorothy. Her breakthrough came in the comedy film The 40-Year-Old Virgin as Beth, where she gained further recognition.

She also made notable appearances in films such as Invincible, Definitely, Maybe, Role Models and The Uninvited, among others.

She also had a recurring role as Avery in the sitcom 30 Rock, which gained her two Emmy nominations.
