Biography:

Ellen Page was born on February 21, 1987 in Halifax, Canada. She attended the Neptune Theatre School and began her career at the age of 10 on the television series Pit Pony.

She also appeared in Marion Bridge, which won the award for Best Canadian First Feature at the Toronto International Film Festival. Other appearances in films followed, including The Tracey Fragments, an American Crime and X-Men: The Last Stand.

She had her breakthrough role in the 2007 film Juno, for which she received a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and an Academy Award nominations for Best Actress.
