Biography:

Emilia Clarke was born on May 1, 1987 in London, England. Her passion for drama began when her mother took her to the performance of “Show Boat”, which her father was working on as a theatre sound engineer.

She went on to study at the Drama Centre London, where she took part in 10 plays. At this time she appeared on television with a guest role on BBC’s Doctors in 2000.

In 2010, she got her first role in the television film Triassic Attack. Her breakthrough role came in 2011 when she replaced actress Tamzin Merchant for the role of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones.
