Biography:

Emily Procter was born on October 8, 1968 in Raleigh, North Carolina, U.S.. Her career on television wasn’t always about acting as she first worked as a weather anchor before venturing into becoming an actress. Upon making such decision, she relocated to Los Angeles and took acting classes to prepare herself.

In 1995, she made her acting debut in an episode of Renegade. Her first recurring role was as Ainsley Hayes in The West Wing (2000-2002, 2006). However, it was her portrayal of Calleigh Duquesne in CSI: Miami that made her a household name among television viewers (2002-2012). She has also had a prolific career as a film star, appearing in such movies as Leaving Las Vegas, Jerry Maguire, The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion!, Family Plan, Guinevere, and Body Shots, among others.
