Emily Rios was born on April 27, 1989 in Los Angeles, California, US. She was discovered by an agent after being spotted at a mall. In 2005, she made her debut in the short film For Them. The following year, she made her film debut in Quinceañera. In 2007, she had her first TV appearance in ER. From 2009 to 2011, she played Maria in the TV show Men of a Certain Age.

She next appeared as Epyck Sanders in 4 episodes of Friday Night Lights. It was, however, her role as Andrea Cantillo in Breaking Bad that got her wider recognition. At the same time, she played recurring role Angela Reilly in Private Practice. From 2013 to 2014, she was part of the main cast of the TV series The Bridge. Her latest roles on the small screen were in From Dusk till Dawn and Snowfall.
