Her first starring role on the small screen was as Amy Abbott in Everwood. After this, she starred as Rebecca Harper in the ABC drama series Brothers & Sisters. In the 2010s, she became further known for her lead role in another ABC series Revenge. She also played Sharon Carter in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War. The television star stays in shape by eating right and working out. She considers physical activity through exercise as an integral part of her lifestyle. This is not only to maintain her lean figure but to also stay healthy overall. In an interview, she gushed about what she does to stay fit. She said:
“I’ve always loved yoga and Pilates, but Lalo (her trainer) has taken my workouts to a different level. Combining work on land mixed with pool exercises, we have found an incredible routine that really works for my body and gets me into shape fast for upcoming projects.” Her trainer also shared that the actress transformed her body for her role in Revenge, saying she “wanted a dancer’s body and to be a little more toned with a stronger core.”
Emily also trains 3-4 days per weeks for 60-75 minutes in every training session. Basically, the actress concentrates on doing activities such as “Pilates, planks, pushups, or side extensions.”
