Biography:
Eric Close was born on May 24, 1967 in Staten Island, New York, USA. He attended the University of Southern California where he graduated with a degree in communications. He started performing while he was still in school but didn’t pursue acting until after graduating from college. In 1992, he made his film debut with a minor role in American Me. He next landed his first starring role on TV — as Sawyer Walker on the soap opera Santa Barbara.
Afterward, he starred as Brick McKenna on the short-lived series McKenna. After that ended, he starred as William ‘Billy’ Griffin on the drama series Sisters. His next performances were as John Loengard on Dark Skies, Vin Tanner on The Magnificent Seven, and Michael Wiseman and Now and Again. Of course, it was his role as Martin Fitzgerald on Without a Trace that gained him mainstream fame. Afterward, he played Teddy Conrad on Nashville.
