Biography:
Eric McCormack was born on April 18, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He attended Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate Institute. He later attended Ryerson University School of Theatre in Toronto too study acting. In 1986, he made his TV debut on the TV film The Boys from Syracuse. In 1992, he made his big screen debut in the movie The Lost World. From 1994 to 1996, he starred as Col. Francis Clay Mosby on the TV series Lonesome Dove: The Series.
From 1998 to 2006, he starred as Will Truman on the sitcom Will & Grace. His performance on the show was acclaimed winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Actor. Simultaneously, he portrayed Mel Ferrer on the TV movie The Audrey Hepburn Story. Later in his career, he starred as Dr. Daniel Pierce on Perception from 2012 to 2015. Afterwards, he joined the main cast of Travelers as Grant MacLaren.
