Hollywood star Eva Mendes started her acting career in the 1990s. It was, however, in the 2000s that her career took an interesting turn. This was after landing a role in the movie Training Day. Afterwards, she starred as Monica Fuentes in 2 Fast 2 Furious and had a supporting role in Once Upon a Time in Mexico. She played the female lead in the romantic comedy Hitch and played the female lead in Ghost Rider. The rest of the 2000s saw her star in the movies The Spirit, We Own the Night, and Cleaner. In the 2010s, she starred in the feature films The Other Guys, Last Night, Girl in Progress, The Place Beyond the Pines and Lost River. Eva hasn’t had new films lately as she’s focusing on her raising her two daughters with Ryan Gosling.
She’s now in her 40s with two kids, but Eva manages to maintain her slender physique and toned figure. This is through healthy eating and working out on a regular basis. She said in an interview: “Working out allows me to spend time on myself. Knowing that I have an hour to dedicate to my wellness is a priority for me now.” She became more candid in her exercise routine, saying:
“I love doing intervals, like running and sprinting, and I see great results with that versus the 30 or 45 minutes of steady cardio I used to do on the treadmill. Between intervals, I lift weights. Right now I’m sticking to light weights because I have a herniated disc in my lower back. It’s pretty severe, and I have to work around it. I love squats, but I’ve been told that I have to do lunges instead of squats for the time being. I know a lot of people wouldn’t find that heartbreaking, but I really do!”
