Biography:
Faith Ford was born on September 14, 1964 in Alexandria, Louisiana, U.S. Prior to her acting career, she started her work as a model and appeared in some TV commercials. In 1983, she made her first television role as Muffy Critchlow in the soap opera One Life to Live. She next starred as Julia Shearer in Another World. Her breakthrough role was as Corky Sherwood in the CBS sitcom Murphy Brown.
For her performance, she won several major awards, such as the Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. After the series ended, she starred as the lead in the short-lived shows Maggie Winters and The Norm Show. In the 2000s, she played Hope Shanowski in the sitcom Hope & Faith, as well as starred in Carpoolers. In the movies, Ford has had performances in Beethoven’s 5th, The Pacifier, and Prom.
