Biography:
Famke Janssen was born on November 5, 1964 in Amstelveen, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. She attended University of Amsterdam and studied economics for a year. She then attended Columbia University in the early 1990s to study creative writing and literature.
She signed with Elite Model Management and worked for Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel and Victoria’s Secret.
She made her film debut in the 1992 movie Fathers & Sons. In 1995, she appeared in Pierce Brosnan’s first James Bond film, Golden Eye as Xenia Onatopp.
She then appeared as superhero Jean Grey in X-Men, which she reprised in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand.
