Biography:

Fran Drescher was born on September 30, 1957 in Kew Gardens, Queens, New York, U.S. She made her film debut with a minor part in the film Saturday Night Fever.

She subsequently starred in the films American Hot Wax and Wes Craven’s Summer of Fear. She then became known for her comedic roles in several films including The Hollywood Knights, Doctor Detroit and This Is Spinal Tap.

In 1993, she shot to international fame as Fran Fine in the sitcom The Nanny. For her role during the show’s run, she received two Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress in a Comedy Television Series.
