Biography:

Frank Grillo was born on June 8, 1965 in New York City, New York. He finished a business degree from New York University. Prior to his acting career, he worked and spent a year on Wall Street. His entertainment career started when he was asked to do a commercial for a beer, followed by other TV ads. He made his debut in the 1992 movie The Mambo Kings. Later, he became more active on television with roles on the soap opera Guiding Light, then on For the People, The Shield, and Prison Break as Nick Savrinn.

He went on to have notable roles on the TV shows The Kill Point and The Gates. In the 2010s, he gained recognition for his roles in the movies Warrior, The Grey, Zero Dark Thirty, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Purge: Anarchy, Captain America: Civil War, and The Purge: Election Year. His recent roles in Captain America and The Purge garnered him wider recognition among international audiences. He also stars on the TV series Kingdom.
