Freddy Rodriguez was born on January 17, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.. He studied at the Lincoln Park High School where he took the drama program. His first significant role was in the feature film A Walk in the Clouds. He was also notable in the movie Dead Presidents. Other films during this period are The Pest and Can’t Hardly Wait.

He aso ventured on television. His first important role on the small screen was as Federico Diaz on the acclaimed HBO drama Six Feet Under.
