Biography:

Freema Agyeman was born on March 20, 1979 in London England. Her first television appearance was as Lola Wise in the soap opera Crossroads. For her performance, she was nominated for “Best Newcomer” and “Sexiest Female” at the British Soap Awards.

She has since appeared in other shows including The Bill, Mile High, Casualty@Holby City, Silent Witness, Torchwood, Little Dorrit, Survivors and many others. She also became known for her role as Martha Jones in Doctor Who.

In 2009, she was cast as Alesha Phillips in Law & Order: UK. Additionally, she stars as Larissa Loughlin in The Carrie Diaries since 2013.
