Gabriel Byrne is an Irish actor, producer, and director. He started his career in the late 1970s, debuting in the Irish drama The Riordans where he starred as Pat Barry. He reprised his role in the television series Bracken. In the 1980s, he had roles in the films Excalibur, Hanna K., Reflections, Gothic, and Lionheart. In the 1990s, he got more prolific in Hollywood. During this period, he starred in such films as Miller’s Crossing, Into the West, A Dangerous Woman, and Little Women. In 1995, he starred as Dean Keaton in The Usual Suspects. He later portrayed D’Artagnan in the 1998 film The Man in the Iron Mask. On television, he is best known for his role as Dr. Paul Weston in In Treatment. This won him a Golden Globe. He was also nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor.
