Hollywood star Gabrielle Union debuted on television in 1993. She next appeared as Tracy Monaghan in 3 episodes of Good Behavior. She next played Keesha Hamilton in 7th Heaven. In 1999, she made her cinematic debut as Katie in the film She’s All That. That same year, she played Chastity in the teen film 10 Things I Hate About You. She became further known in the 2000s, starring as Isis in the film Bring It On. She later played the lead in the movie Deliver Us from Eva, followed by her performance in Cradle 2 the Grave. In 2003, she starred as Sydney “Syd” Burnett in the feature Bad Boys II.

She has since starred in the movies Breakin’ All the Rules, The Honeymooners, Running with Scissors, and Cadillac Records, among others. On television, she starred as Dr. Courtney Ellis on the short-lived series City of Angels. Following this, she starred as Perri Reed ABC series Night Stalker. From 2009 to 2010, she played Zoey Andata on FlashForward. Since 2013, she’s been playing the lead on the show Being Mary Jane. She’s also the voice of Nala on the Disney animated series The Lion Guard. She’ll star on the upcoming series L.A.’s Finest.

The 46-year-old actress stays in shape by following a clean diet plan and drinking lots of water. “If you can replace sugary drinks, or coffee, with water, you’re still ahead of the game,” she said. She also incorporates vegetables into her meals every day. She said she has at least two servings of veggies daily like lettuce, spinach, kale, and swiss chard. On the other hand, she also knows that denying herself of food isn’t a good idea. So, she allows herself to indulge her cravings just as long as she doesn’t have too much. She admitted: “If I want cupcakes, cookies, or a short stack, I don’t deny myself. And I certainly don’t deny myself bacon!”
