Biography:
Gail O’Grady was born on January 23, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan, U.S. She first appeared in some commercials before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue acting.
She made her feature film debut in the 1988 romantic comedy She’s Having a Baby. She was later cast as Georgia Lee in the series China Beach. She gained wider recognition after being cast as Donna Abandando in NYPD Blue.
For her role in NYPD Blue, she received three Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She then went on to star in the films That Old Feeling, Tricks, and became known for her other roles on television such as the part of Helen Pryor in American Dreams and Wanda Perkins in Hellcats.
