Biography:

Garcelle Beauvais was born on November 26, 1966 in St. Marc, Haiti. She relocated to the US together with her mother and siblings after her parents divorced. She then moved to New York City to pursue a modeling career.

She was later signed with Ford Models and Irene Marie Models, and has since modeled for such brands as Avon, Mary Kay, and Clairol. She also posed for the August 2007 issue of Playboy.

As an actress, she played Francesca Monroe in The Jamie Foxx Show from 1996 to 2001. She also played Assistant District Attorney Valerie Heywood in NYPD Blue.
