Biography:

Gayatri Joshi was born on March 20, 1977 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. As a beauty queen, she was one of the top five final candidates at the 1999 Femina Miss India beauty pageant. She was then chosen to represent India at the Miss International pageant in Japan in 2000.

As a model, she has been featured in ad campaigns for such companies as Bombay Dyeing, Philips, Ponds, Godrej, Sunsilk, LG and Hyundai.

In 2004, she made her Bollywood debut the film Swades. Although the film did not fare well in the box office, her performance was greatly praised by critics and audiences alike.
