Biography:
Gayle Rankin was born on 1 September 1989 in Paisley, United Kingdom. She was accepted to Juilliard School in New York City where she earned her BFA. In 2012, she made her acting debut in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She also appeared in an episode of My America, as well as acted in the pilot The Missionary.
Her first prominent role was as Sheila the She-Wolf in the Netflix Original Series GLOW. During this period, she also landed roles in the films The Meyerowitz Stories, Irreplaceable You, In a Relationship, and Her Smell. She went on to portray Queen Victoria in the movie The Greatest Showman. After GLOW, she starred in the movies Blow the Man Down and The Climb. Her most recent work on TV was as Emily Dodson in the HBO miniseries Perry Mason.
