British celebrity Gemma Chan studied law and instead of pursuing a career in the legal field, she pursued acting instead. She made her film debut in the 2006 movie When Evil Calls. At the same time, she also competed on the reality show Project Catwalk as one of the models. She made her first acting role on television a few years later on Doctor Who. Her acting career flourished in the 2010s, starring as Charlotte on the British series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She also played the recurring role of Ruth on Fresh Meat. She next starred on the British show Bedlam as Kiera, as well as starred on the miniseries True Love. After starring on another miniseries called The Game, she joined the main cast of Humans as Anita. She’s been starring on the show since 2015. She’s also had roles in the films Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, London Fields, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Transformers: The Last Knight.

The 35-year-old actress maintains her slender figure and fit body by following a healthy eating habit. Mostly, she opts to eat nutritious foods and stays away from junk and processed foods. She does this despite the temptations on the set of her shows or films where tasty yet unhealthy foods are provided. When she was work, she typically starts her day early, at around six in the morning. During this time she has her breakfast, which is mostly “orange juice with scrambled egg and bacon on toast”.

She also shared how she prefers drinking peppermint and green tea instead of the regular tea to energize her further. She said: “Instead of normal tea, I’ve started drinking peppermint and green throughout the day – they’re more soothing. I graze on nuts and fruit from my set bag.” For lunch, she prefers to eat a heavy meal. She shared: “I always go for a big lunch – beef stroganoff with rice and salad. Then apple crumble and custard, and lots of water.” In the afternoon, she usually relies to coffee and chocolate to boost her energy: “Need a coffee and something from my emergency supply of chocolate to keep my energy up. Minstrels are best.”
