Biography:

Genelia D’Souza was born on August 5, 1987 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. She first gained some notice when she appeared in a Parker Pen commercial. She then began her acting career in the 2003 film Tujhe Meri Kasam.

Her breakthrough was in the movie Boys in the same year, and later established herself in Telugu cinema by appearing in numerous Telugu films.

In 2006, she starred in the romantic film Bommarillu, for which she earned her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu. She also won the Nandi Special Jury Award and Santosham Award for Best Actress.
