Gigi Hadid was born on April 23, 1995 in Los Angeles, USA. Her mother used to be a model. After her parents had divorced, her mother married well-known music producer David Foster. During her high school years, she served as the captain of the varsity volleyball team and was also a horseback rider who joined competitions. Her modeling career had initially started when she was two.

It was because it was during this age that she was discovered by Guess’ Paul Marciano. Thus, she began her career with Baby Guess. She didn’t take modeling full time when she was younger to give way to her education. She only returned in 2011 when she appeared at a runway and posed for various magazines. In 2014, she appeared in the music video of the song “Surfboard”, as well as Calvin Harris’ music video “How Deep Is Your Love”.
