Halle Berry was born on August 14, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. She first came into the spotlight when she won the Miss Teen All-American Pageant. She became a model afterwards.

She got into her first TV series, 1989’s Living Dolls. In Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever, she reportedly refused to bathe for days before starting on her role as a crack addict. It paid off because the role provided her big screen breakthrough.
